Sue Wyie’s film is being shown at the Cambridge Film Festival later this month.
Sue’s experience of being diagnosed with Parkinson’s spurred her on to write a play called Kinetics: Parkour and Parkinson’s, which is now a film, Kinetics: The Desire to Move.
Kinetics explores her coming to terms with the shock of her diagnosis while working as a drama teacher, and her unlikely real-life friendship with a rebellious 16-year-old student who is found free running on the school roof.
Sue’s film has already done so much to raise awareness of Parkinson’s and to help others who are coming to terms with their own diagnosis.
