RESEARCH CHAMPIONS

All about our Research Champions

What is a Research Champion?

New treatments for people with Parkinson’s can’t come fast enough. With people affected by Parkinson’s involved at every step, we’re funding trailblazing science and transforming life with Parkinson’s.

As Research Champion you’ll connect the local community to research; sharing news about events and opportunities to shape, steer and take part in research so they’re connected to, and part of, every breakthrough. Together, we will find a cure.

Time commitment varies, but most champions spend 30 minutes to an hour each month on their role.

Interested in supporting Parkinson’s UK research in other ways?

  • If you’ve got experience as a person with Parkinson’s or from helping to support or care for a partner, friend or family member with Parkinson’s, then you could help shape and guide our research – take a look at our Patient and Public Involvement Volunteer role.

  • If you’d like to use your experience of living with Parkinson’s to provide insight into our research funding, have a look at our Lay Grant Reviewer Research role.

  • Find out more about our local Research Interest Groups here.

  • Join the Research Support Network, our free online community connecting everyone involved in Parkinson’s research, here.
